I am thrilled to officially kick off my campaign for reelection to the Board of Trustees of McLennan Community College. As a passionate advocate for education and lifelong Wacoan, I am committed to ensuring that our College continues to thrive and serve our students, faculty and staff with excellence.
As an alum of both MCC and the University Center, I know firsthand the value that the College offers to our community. MCC never shut the door on me and offered me patience and grace as a student when I needed it the most. I hope to give back even a fraction of the gift that the College has been to me and my family.
I believe MCC is a vital pillar of our community, providing accessible and affordable education to students of all ages and backgrounds. As a Trustee, I will continue to work tirelessly to support our faculty and staff, ensure that our programs and services remain relevant and innovative and to help our students achieve their academic and career goals.
I am committed to transparency, accountability and collaboration, and I believe that MCC should be a place where everyone feels welcome and supported. I will do my best to always listen to your concerns and ideas and work closely with our community leaders to secure a brighter future for our College. As a Trustee, I will always be mindful of the community's financial commitment to the College, balancing the tax burden placed on our constitutents alongside the tuition and fee burden placed on our students.
I ask for your support and your vote as we continue this journey together. Let's commit to making our community college the best in Texas and ensure that our students have access to the education and resources they need to succeed.
